Job Description:-

The Grand Hotel is located in Gozo, Malta’s sister island. Over the years, we have earned the reputation of being one of the best hotels on the island, thanks to a wide range of facilities and excellent customer service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Front Office Manager who will lead, train and oversee the Reception Team to ensure our procedures and customer service standards are adhered to.

Previous experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel is required, in a guests-facing position; you would be the main point of contact for our guests at the Reception.

Key responsibilities:
  • Ensuring that the Reception and Reservations desks run smoothly and efficiently. You will lead by example, boosting morale and making sure your team consistently delivers the highest standards of customer service
  • Liaising with all departments on a daily basis
  • You will have the responsibility of guiding, training and developing the Reception Team
  • Dealing with customer requests / complaints / compliments, share and follow up feedback
  • Check that all postings, bills, cash and credit transactions, floats, balancing and hand-over procedures are implemented proficiently
  • Monitor the standards of work, working practices, productivity and standards of customer care of all employees within the department
  • To carry out reception duties and cover shifts when business demands it
  • To be fully aware of rates and promotions, and to quote such rates in line with hotel revenue strategy. Ensuring maximum occupancy and rates are achieved at all times
  • Assist with HR related duties such engagement forms and work permits
Profile:
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to speak German is a strong asset
  • Warm and outgoing personality
  • Flexibility to work shifts, week-ends and public holidays
  • Good range of administration skills and must be IT literate
  • Have the ability to multi task
  • Great team player, a hands-on individual
  • The ideal candidate should be able to work under pressure and have strong organizational skills
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Front Office in a similar property
  • Valid driving license is an advantage
