The Role
- You will lead and develop the purchasing team
- You will understand consumer trends to develop and execute a strategy in line with market requirements
- Source the best products, locally and internationally
- You will Include sustainability matters both in category management and in the sourcing process
- Review current and develop new robust processes and procedures
- Develop and maintain constructive relationships with new and existing suppliers
- Issue budgets and ensure adherent to plan
- Issue tenders and carry out the evaluation process
- Develop and support all the promotional activity settled by/with marketing department
- Ensure that continuous improvement is part of the day to day management of the team
- Review stock levels and order products. Follow-up on Logistics
- Prepare reports and present to Senior Management
Skill-sets and Requirements
- Be a good team leader
- Have at least 3 years experience in a similar role
- Be a good negotiator
- Be a diligent and goal driven person
- Have excellent analytical skills
Education & Experience
- Preferably have a minimum diploma level of education
- Have a good knowledge of Excel
