Responsibilities
- Engaging in negotiations and placing orders from suppliers
- Follow up on frame/purchase orders
- Developing relevant KPI’s for strategic procurement
- Implementation of cost savings initiatives
- Continuous development of the organization and suppliers
- Supplier selection and supplier management
- Knowledge how to use her/his international network
- Monitoring of price development and deliveries
- Implementing change notes
- Proper data setting (eg. Pricing, MOQ, lead times) in general planning in Oracle
- Being responsible for second sources and replacement of suppliers
Skill-sets and Requirements
- In depth understanding and knowledge of the industry and products
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Organizational and relationship building skills
- Knowledge of value analysis
Education & Experience
- Education at MQF Level 4 or higher
- Confident fluency in English is a must
- Fluency Maltese and German would be considered an asset
- Relevant working experience in a similar role and/or industry would be given preference
